& NOW IT'S BACK TO FOOTBALL BUSINESS!!
Our main game day location is the Irish Hound, 575 St. Paul St, Denver, CO 80206.
For those new to Denver, or watching games with us, we are one of very few schools that doesn't have to share our bar with any other college club. There is also FREE parking on the streets around the Hound. Parking in front of the Hound is time restricted, but the streets NORTH of 6th are not. Please double check for parking signs for any residential restrictions.
I'm SUPER excited to announce that The Irish Hound has done some renovations! There are now more & bigger high-top tables in the main room with more seats, and the booths in the main room have been raised!
We will have a 2nd overflow location thanks to Wyman's No. 5 which is not far from the Hound, over by Congress Park & Lick's Ice Cream, 2033 E 13th Ave Denver, CO 80206.
Please note that this bar is NOT dedicated to Bama so there may be other events going on there, but seating will be held for Bama with game TVs. This s also a residential parking area, so you will need to check for parking signs.
The Irish Hound will be our headquarters for Game Day parties, with all events, raffles, game day music, etc taking place there.
Check out this list of specials!!
Yellow Hammers, "Crimson" Blood Mary's, Mimosas, House Wines AND Well Drinks all $3.50. There will be Coors Light draft specials, as well as other specials that will vary through the season.
We'll also continue to have a special game day menus, in addition to the Hound's normal menu.
For those of you new & old, here is some info on Game Days at the Irish Hound to keep in mind:
"WHERE DO I PARK?" - Parking on St. Paul, in front of the Hound between 6th & 5th is limited & has time restrictions. Parking is available with out time restrictions to the surrounding streets NORTH of 6th (between 6th & 7th, ex: Milwaukee, Steele, Fillmore) as well as along 6th. This is all a residential area so please be considerate to the people who live in these areas!
"WHERE'S MY SERVER? DO I ORDER AT THE BAR?" - PLEASE DO NOT crowd the bar area. The Bartenders at the Hound also work the floor and will frequently circle the place to wait on the tables as well. If you crowd the bar, you make it difficult for them to get out around to the tables as well as block the view of others. (PS - don't forget to tip your bartenders!)
"WHERE DO I SIT?" - If you come in and see a few big tables with just a few folks at it, don't be a stranger! Introduce yourself & grab a seat (if they aren't using the whole table). The reverse also applies - if you sit at a big table but don't need all the other seats, please welcome people to sit with you. The Main room will be high bar-tops and mostly standing room with the bigger tables to the side rooms & pool room.
We're going to be having some fun bonus events/activities tied in with Game Days so keep your eyes out for details each week!!

For those of you who get the Alabama Alumni Magazine, our very own local member & former president, Dan Riley is featured on page 15 of the Fall 2010 edition, Association News on "Giving Back."
The article talks about Dan's extensive involvement with scholarship for the University.
Dan established the Denver chapter and the SEC Picnic. He is a statistician for the CU Buffs & Denver Broncos so sadly he doesn't make it to many of our game watching parties, but hopefully some of you were able to meet him at the picnic.
It's a nice article that I will scan and post soon.
Congrats to Dan for his recognition and dedication to the University of Alabama!!
Time to get back into SEC Action as we face Ole Miss, & to celebrate, we're having a fish fry! The Irish Hound will be serving up a game day special of fried Catfish, on the bone, along with sides, for this weekend's game day party.
For those of you over 21, there will also be a special on Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka! You can get a special Mason Jar for $5 for a sweet tea vodka drink, & then get sweet tea vodka drink refills for $4 a piece AND get to keep the glass! (Glass must be empty to leave the building) :)
