This is former Alabama football player, Barry Krauss.
The Goal Line Stand" became my defining moment in 1979. That moment was captured on the cover of Sports Illustrated and voted as one of the greatest plays in college football history. That moment changed the course of my future. Doors were opened and opportunities presented themselves that would never have happened without that defining moment. I am truly blessed and thankful to have been chosen for a chance in a lifetime! I am also thankful to have been coached by some of the finest men in sports history. These men set a standard for greatness both by teamwork and individually.
The foundation of my speech is about achieving greatness. I believe one must embody certain qualities to achieve greatness; motivation, persistence - regardless of the fatigue or pain follow through to its finish, be passionate about what you are doing, and never lose sight of your goals. It's these basic qualities that I want to share with you to create your greatness
So whether you have a small/large Alabama Alumni Chapter, a large corporation or small business, coach, athlete, non-profit organization or a parent you can benefit from my speaking. I would like to share my story with you. Furthermore, please consider forwarding this email to all of your chapter members and any other Bama fan that you may know.

Crimson Tide shocks Georgia to win sixth SEC Championship |
|

(ricky rogers | the tennesean)
Alabama’s Rachel Terry performs on the uneven bars at the SEC Gymnastics Championships in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday. She scored a 9.875.
After coming up on the short end last year and missing out on the SEC title by the narrowest margin possible, the University of Alabama gymnastics team wasn’t about to fall victim again, especially to rival Georgia, the four-time defending national champion.

Falstaff & Kelli Need Your Help |
|
Falstaff
By Kelli Douglas
My family has setup a PLEDGIE account for me and my beagle, Falstaff. Neither one of us have been getting much good news lately. Me and my incurable cancer and Falstaff with hisbum leg. We are looking to raise funds to help battle my rising medical expenses (in the many thousands) and to help my beagle get the surgery he needs. Falstaff and I both have insurance but his surgery (ACL tear) is not covered and my insurance isn’t very comprehensive. Big deductibles and an even bigger 80/20 plan. It takes a lot of humility to ask for help but what is most important to me is that Falstaff and I both get the care we need so we can be together for many more years. There was no limit to the amount of money we are trying to raise because we have not yet received all the final medical bills. Plus with an additonal bone marrow biopsy and PET Scan that will be done this year, those costs are going to continue to rise. Just know it’s quite a bit of money. Every little bit helps and by working together I know that things will get to where they need to be. Continue to pray for me and add Falstaff to your prayers as well. We love you all and want to live long and fruitful lives!

I would like to THANK each and every person who showed up for the football games this year. We had an average of 80 people at each game. This number more than doubled what we had last year at each game, and having 162 people for the SEC Championship game was amazing. You may not know it, but we had about 400 new people to show up over the football season. In addition to that we had around 25 UA Alumni visitors that found us at BamaDenver.com and said this was one of the best Alumni Associations to which they had been. Thank you all for making it a great football season.
We will be meeting periodically during the off season for some of the basketball games as well as the SEC picnic in August which is held at Washington Park. Please stay tuned to BamaDenver.com for updates.
Because this will be the last email of the 2008 year, BamaDenver.com would like to wish you a very prosperous and happy New Year. See you in 2009!
Roll Tide!
